Looking at the events ahead; on the evening of Saturday 12th September, Carmarthen MC are holding the Autumn Road Rally ready for the action of the Welsh lanes are Bevan Blacker and Niall Frost in the Ford Escort Mk1.
The Chris Leeming Memorial Autotest organised by Ray Jude is at Acaster, York on Sunday 13th September. It’s a full day of skids and cones, so if you are able to marshal do get in touch with Ray. Competing from the club are Dave Ruddock in the MX5; Richard and James Eaton in the Peugeot 107; Gary and Mandy Ross in the Ford Ka; Sue Sutcliffe in the Vauxhall Corsa; Ian Priestley and Stuart Roberts in the MX5; Stephen Waddington in the Hyundai i10; Leo Selwood in the Mini Cooper S; Neil Raven in tbc.
Also on Sunday 13th September is Kirkby Lonsdale MC Little Devils Tour around Cumbria. Joining the assembly are Mark Stone and Karen Graham in the Fiat Panda Cross 4×4; David Taylor and Marilyn Smith in the Porsche 911SC.
On winning form from the Wearside Targa last weekend, Dave Mosey and Louise Richardson are heading to Ross DMC’s Hatford Targa on Sunday 13th September. This has been rescheduled due to the dry ground and is a day of fun. Their visit to Aylton, Herefordshire will consist of 32 miles of competitive route, split into 6 tests.
The autumn events are piling in and can only be run with folk giving up a bit of their time. Neil Raven is still needing some parking attendants for Nidderdale Show on Sunday 20th September at Pateley Bridge. This secures the land for the Jubilee Rally, the Classic Trial and raises lots of money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Stan Peel has always been the main lead, but is a bit fatigued and needs your help. A proper sunday dinner is your reward.
For something different why dont you enter the Economy Run on Wednesday 30th September? It’s a bargain at £5 entry and the aim is to drive a route as economically as possible. It’s a fun event and probably something new to most of you.
