Its a busy weekend ahead for Ilkley members and I think there will be bundles of mixed clothing taken out by everyone attending events at the weekend, bit lets keep out fingers crossed for sunshine ☀️ 

Looking at the weekend ahead, on Saturday we have the Mini Register Northumberland Borders Rally starting in Bishop Auckland.  A great events of tests during the day and a night rally in the evening. A tough event for both the little cars and their crews.  Competing from the club and Neil and Claire Raven in the Mini City; Andy Lane and Iain Tullie in the Mini Cooper. 

There is also Wigton MC White Heather tests at Kirkbride Airfield. Competing from the club are Dave Mosey and Louise Richardson in the Vauxhall Corsa; Bernie Watkins and Adam Roper in the Vauxhall Cavalier; Gavin Parry and Pete Clegg in the Proton Satria. 

On Saturday evening there is the Borders 100 Road Rally in Wales. Competing from the club are Steve King and Peter Scott in the BMW 318 ti Compact.

Also in North Wales is the Get Jerky Forest Stage Rally, competing from the club are David Dobson and Graham Wild in the Ford Escort MK2; Nick Dobson and Phil Sandham in the Ford Escort MK2.

Back north in the Cumbria on Saturday is the Stuart Butterfield BTRDA Historic Sporting Trial at Gale Hall with Simon Kingsley competing in the Crossle.

 

 

Dont forget to bring your clocks forward an hour on Sunday morning. There will be a lot of tired competitors, officials and marshals on the first ever Yorkshire Dales Closed Road Rally.  Competing from the club are Jonny Hepworth and Dave Boyes in the Ford Escort mk 2; Kevin Lomax and James Haigh in the Subaru Impreza Type R ; Matthew Walker and Graham Hepworth in the Vauxhall Astra GTE; Ben Blacker and Niall Frost in the Ford Escort Mk 1.

Its fabulous to see so many club members volunteering to support this event. Whether they are a marshal, time keeper, supporting the service area or in an official role they are the ones that are key to ensure we keep motorsport alive.  Thank you to each and everyone of you❤️.
