Event on schedule (Posted August 15th 2010)

The entries are rolling in and preparations are well on target for this years event. You can help yourself prepare by downloading an extract of last year’s Night Leg route instructions, which are available HERE, or on the 'Entry' page. If you have any questions, send us an email.

Entries are now OPEN! (Posted July 17th 2010)

The Regulations are now out for the 2010 Yorkshire Revival Rally. As last year, there are two events, a Clubmans daytime tests only event & a National B full day & night event. Aimed mainly at historic cars in order to capture the spirit of the original event run during the 1950’s and 1960’s, but we are catering for ‘moderns’ as well. We have held the entry fees at last year’s level, £90 for the Clubmans and £110 for the National B event provided entries are received by us no later than 11th August. The entry fee includes an evening meal on Saturday and breakfast for the National B crews on Sunday morning. We have also taken note of comments from last year, the rough stuff has gone!
Putting on an event of this type is a tremendous undertaking and we would like to thank our sponsors, advertisers and partners for their support and to the many marshals without whose voluntary assistance the event could not take place.

Download the Regulations from HERE or email entries yrrentries@ilkleymotorclub.org.uk and we will post you a copy.

We look forward to receiving your entry.

Latest News (Posted Jun 9th 2010)

Clerk of the Course, David Taylor reports "I am pleased with the way things are going, the event is taking shape. We are delighted to be basing the event at Askham Bryan College on the outskirts of York, again. We all thought it was an excellent venue, and other events seem to be taking a lead from that. The College authorities are extremely helpful & supportive and we hope to have some students from their Motorsport Engineering course out on the event. Apart from a new test at that venue, we also have new areas for more of the Day Leg Tests and we are avoiding any rough ones, we do take notice! The Night Leg route is entirely different to 2009, a new challenge on classic old roads.”

We are on course to go live with Regulations and On-line entries early in July. If you want to receive the Regulations and an Entry Form by email, click here to register your interest.

2010 is the centenary year for Ilkley and District Motor Club, come and join the celebrations.

More 2010 Event Details (Posted Feb 17th 2010)

Plans are progressing well for the 2010 event, we have recruited a strengthened team, aiming to build on the successful 2009 event. We are looking at a number of test venues to use during the day including several new to the event. The route for the night leg is ‘on the map’.

As last year there will be two events, the Day Leg Tests which can be entered without a Competition Licence and the combined Day & Night Legs, this will be National B status.

The Day Leg will have an untimed roadbook. Navigation for the Night Leg, around more of the best lanes of Yorkshire, will be straightforward and Novice navigators should have no problems finding their way.
There will be classes for both Modern and Historic cars.

2010 is the centenary year for Ilkley and District Motor Club and, with the great feedback from last year's event, we are expecting a high turn out of entries. If you want to add your name to the list of people who have registered an interest please click here to join our mailing list.

We expect the Regulations and the event on-line entry system to go live in July.
If you have any photos of your car on last years event or any archive information or photos of the original event circa 1950’s/1960’s please email them to us and we will upload them onto the event website

Yorkshire Revival Rally 2010 (Posted Dec 16th 2009)

Ilkley and District Motor Club are happy to announce the Yorkshire Revival Rally for 2010. It will run over the weekend of the 11th/12th September and will be based to the West of York.

As before, we are aiming the event at Historic Cars, although there will be a class for Moderns.

With a similar format to the 2009 event, it will start at around lunchtime on the 11th, with tests on private land on the Saturday afternoon, followed by a full night Navigational Rally, using classic Yorkshire lanes and finishing with breakfast on Sunday morning.

The event will have a National B status but there will also be a Clubmans event of just the tests, which will finish on Saturday evening.

We hope that entry fees will be similar to the 2009 event.
