Welcome to the Ilkley and District Motor Club website

We have been working hard over the past few months to bring our members and other inquisitive people, a new, fresh-looking website. Yorkshire Air Ambulance epetition

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is a charity run service that Ilkley and District Motor Club support. They give life-saving aid, by quickly getting to a casualty and evacuating them to hospital, especially in isolated rural places. It costs about £2500 an hour to keep a helicopter in the air and the epetitiion below to the Government is to ask them to consider the Air Ambulance Service having the same concession as the other emergency services regarding VAT on fuel.

This petition asks the UK Government to return, in the form of grants to Air Ambulance Service providers, all the future VAT which the Treasury collects from them, so that the Air Ambulance Service is in practice exempt from paying VAT . You can sign the epetiton here
